Olde English Bulldogge History
The nature of the English Bulldog has been undergoing change for the past 40 years. The results of those changes has been the introduction of new breeds of bulldogges. The most well known is the Olde English Bulldogge. Other forms include the Leavitt Bulldog, Valley Bulldogs, Bantam Bulldogges, etc. The breeding environment is dynamic so it is important for anyone wanting a puppy to do a little research into the breed that best suites your needs and the breeders that agree with your philosophies. One common thread through all the bulldog breeds and types is the need to develop Bulldogges that are healthy, athletic and have a good temperament. Another point of agreement is that the AKC is unable or unwilling to get us there.
Thankfully the internet makes it easier to shop across the nation to find just the dog you want. I've provided a taste of the Bulldogge information available for you on the internet in the section below. If you find a breeder you like and they are far from you, don't worry -- there are shippers that will bring your new happy healthy puppy to your doorstep for a nominal fee, typically between $200-$350 depending on the distance. We will never ship a dog by air cargo or any other method that endangers the animal.
So happy hunting and enjoy your new strong, healthy puppy with a gentle loving temperament.
